With the reopening of Las Vegas' legendary Atomic Liquors, a new cocktail menu has been created to commemorate the legendary bar, its guests and the notorious city. In honor of the eccentric Hunter S. Thompson (author of "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas") Rose Signor has created the Henry S. Mash. A Lynchburg Lemonade style cocktail that can be, for the right price, made with 30 year old Old Crow found during the bars recent renovation. Below is the recipe for making this outstanding cocktail.
The Hunter S. Mash
5 Mint Sprigs
2 oz Old Crow Bourbon
1 oz Fresh Lemon Juice

1/2 oz Aperol
2 Dashes Bitters
Soda Water
Ice
Build the mint, Old Crow, lemon juice, ginger syrup, Aperol and bitters in a high ball glass. Lightly muddle ingredients (you don't want to break the leaves up, you just want to bruise them so they will release their oils). Fill glass with ice, top with soda water and stir. Garnish with a mint sprig. Enjoy!!!
Cheers!!!
